On The Ranch Treasures

Being located in the Central Valley of California allows plenty of pickins’ for cowboy, ranch and farm related items to have on hand to offer our customers.

Oakdale, California (which is located about 30 minutes from our store) is known as “The Cowboy Capital” of the world.

A little walk around the shop, and several photos later, we captured a little bit of what is on hand at the moment for ranch and farm related items.

Below is a wonderful cow weather vane that Dorothy and Nadine have in their space.  Check out the chair above all decked out with western fabric.

P1010138i As soon as you enter the store, you will see a display of horse and cowboy items, like the 1930’s framed horse print and cool horse lampshade and lamp.

P1010142i P1010157g These toy tractors would be cute in a child’s room done up in a ranch theme.  Or if you need a fun piece to serve up a chilled beverage, try one of these vintage milk bottles.  There are plenty to choose from and most are from dairies located in the Central Valley.

A cute Amish salt and pepper shaker set, red tractor toy and little goat bell would be a darling farmhouse vignette.

There are several horse related old books around the shop.  Above is a fun pair of ceramic horse bookends (rt) and on the left, a pair of cast iron horseshoe bookends.

Next time we will share a super fun piece that Barbara has in her space – and a little history lesson to go along with it, too.

  1. Hi! Welcome to blogland! I came over via Becky's blog! When I was a little girl my mom had a set of western dishes that had the dividers, three of them, two small and one large. Your restaurant plate reminded me of them!!

  2. H! Lovely blog. I wish that you had an outpost on Long Island! Very lovely items. Brings back many memories. Keep up the great work - and much luck on the blog!
