Spring Touches and Sweet Faces

FEB AW 6

Despite our recent rain showers, it has really felt like springtime here in Central California.  Driving through town are pops of color from flower beds coming to life with lovely annual blooms of pansies, snapdragons and daffodils.  If you are taking a Sunday drive through the country, you will obviously notice the pretty almond blossoms, too.

Bringing the outdoors in has been a notion since the Victorian time.  Women would practice their painting skills on Sunday afternoons – hence the name Sunday Oils – with the subject matter being still life paintings of flowers.  Below is a gorgeous Sunday Oil that is in Becky R.’s case and above is a sweet print in Cheryl H.’s space.

Below is another antique print of Cheryl’s.  Even though there is a water mark on the left, it is a stunning painting with a lovely frame to match the floral motif.

There are many old dolls for sale throughout the store.  These precious babies will surely bring a smile to your face.

As of now, we are thinking that the parking lot sale will still take place tomorrow – of course, weather permitting.  It is also the Grand Opening to The Vintage Deli, which is owned and operated by Tina Shatswell.  The sandwiches are mouth watering and the hot soup is certain to warm your cold bones on a chilly winter day!

New Things!

With spring around the corner, our vendors have been bringing in new findings and sprucing up their spaces.  Barbara has expanded her space and it is looking so beautiful.  Check out this cheerleading megaphone!

Cliff has this small John Deere tractor for sale.  Wouldn’t this be cute in a child’s room?

AW FEB 3

There are a pair of these beautiful, beautiful chandeliers for sale in Nadine and Dorothy’s space.  At 175.00 each, that is quite a deal.
