Great Graphics!

Old stuff… the “old” saying goes:  “They just don’t make things like they use to!” If you walk around any antique store and pay attention to the details of items made “back in the day,” you will notice the attention to detail in not only how they are made, but the unique quality of each item.  (Nothing was made in China.)

Take for instance labels found on grocery items.  The artwork is nothing short of beautiful, whimsical and unique.  From coffee cans, to spice and food jars and down to even the store display pieces – they are just plain fun to not only admire but to collect.  Collections don’t have to cost you three arms, a hip and a leg, just buy a few (3 make a “collection”) and display them in a small vignette on a shelf, counter or even a cabinet.

All of these items are available for sale in Leslie’s space.  I’ve already purchased a few myself and use the smaller jars to hold cinnamon and sugar for our toast and a few that are without lids become small flower vases.

Old coffee containers make great vessels for a potted plant, too.

Be sure to mark your calendar for August 3rd.  See my previous post for all of the details.

There are going to be a lot of items for sale at our monthly flea market!

Hot August Nights Coming Up August 3rd!

Man!  This summer has certainly slipped on by, has it not?  We are already gearing up to have a ball on August 3rd with our annual Hot August Nights store event.

There will be a car show of classic cars in the front parking lot, food vendors, a storewide sale and out back will be our monthly Peddler’s Sale.  Live music will be performed by the band “Vintage”.

Dennis, our store manager, built this wonderful industrial display unit that is at the front of the store as you enter.  We filled it up with car and industrial related items to create a vignette that would go nicely for Hot August Nights.  Great job, Mr. Dennis!!!

If you would like to rent a space to sell at the Peddler’s Fair, give us a call at (209) 545-9460 and ask for either Jessica or Dennis.

Hope to see you on August 3rd, if not before.

The Military Section Has Moved

We are so excited to welcome our new dealers to our shop!  There have been a lot of changes going on in the store and several cases have been moved to make room for larger spaces.

Jack, our military expert, has expanded and his new location is on the east wall at the back of the store, near the restrooms.

He has brought in some awesome field desks, too!  (Sorry, no photo of these).
