Linens–Vintage Aprons, Tablecloths and Embroidery

IMG_0456

Hello and good morning!  Today’s post is all about vintage textiles.  Our store has so many lovely vintage linens to choose from.

Above is a rack full of freshly laundered and aprons – a part of a woman’s wardrobe back in the ‘50’s.  Nowadays these sweet and charming pieces are used as décor in homes and oftentimes fashioned into a simple window valance.

Below is just a sampling of the hankies available.  They aren’t just to dab a face anymore…they are used for making quilts, bed skirts, curtains, pillows and clothing.

If you like vintage textiles, then you will be a happy camper sorting through the stacks of them that many vendors have in their spaces.

As a note, our store was not affected by the earthquake that hit Napa County on Sunday.   We are 100 miles from the epicenter.  Our thoughts are with those who were affected by the earthquake.
