Old stuff…..as the “old” saying goes: “They just don’t make things like they use to!” If you walk around any antique store and pay attention to the details of items made “back in the day,” you will notice the attention to detail in not only how they are made, but the unique quality of each item. (Nothing was made in China.)
Take for instance labels found on grocery items. The artwork is nothing short of beautiful, whimsical and unique. From coffee cans, to spice and food jars and down to even the store display pieces – they are just plain fun to not only admire but to collect. Collections don’t have to cost you three arms, a hip and a leg, just buy a few (3 make a “collection”) and display them in a small vignette on a shelf, counter or even a cabinet.
All of these items are available for sale in Leslie’s space. I’ve already purchased a few myself and use the smaller jars to hold cinnamon and sugar for our toast and a few that are without lids become small flower vases.
Old coffee containers make great vessels for a potted plant, too.
Be sure to mark your calendar for August 3rd. See my previous post for all of the details.
There are going to be a lot of items for sale at our monthly flea market!
